Costume sketches by Ernst Dryden, for Marlene Dietrich as Domin Enfilden in The Garden of Allah (1936). Dietrich reputedly wasn’t satisfied with Dryden’s work and wore additional “private” wardrobe (conveniently designed by Travis Banton, who was under contract at Paramout) in the film.
